Overview

The PYP programme, intended for children ages 3 to 12, encourages students to become inquirers, thinkers, communicators, risk-takers, and to be knowledgeable, principled, caring, open-minded, balanced and reflective. Students develop these attributes within the classroom, during assemblies, in the playground, and while participating in the many extracurricular activities at Ambassador International Academy.

six academic subjects

Our students benefit from the best of international learning with the inquiry based International Baccalaureate integrated with the English National Curriculum, providing Ambassador International Academy students with the learning outcomes required to lead them onto success in secondary school and to become active and confident lifelong learners. Students start their journey in Pre-KG, where they follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, building on our best practice and experience from our sister school, Ambassador Kindergarten (rated Very Good by DSIB). They will study the EYFS curriculum alongside the IB PYP framework which will give a smooth transition from Early Years into Primary. From there, students follow the IB PYP/MYP framework integrated with the English National Curriculum until Grade 8. In Grade 9 and 10, students continue with the final two years of the MYP and gain the MYP Certificate or they can opt to follow the Cambridge IGCSE programme and sit IGCSE examinations at the end of Grade 10. In Grade 11 and 12, students have the option of the IB Diploma or A Levels depending on their preference.
