The International Baccalaureate provides a curriculum framework and an educational philosophy that allows our team of expert teachers to design activities that prepare our students academically and holistically for the world beyond Ambassador International Academy.
An IB Education offers a distinct advantage over other curricula in that it develops inquiry skills, global-mindedness, critical thinking and problem solving and provides the kind of rigour that the very best universities and employers in the world are looking for.
At Ambassador International Academy, we combine the IB framework and philosophy with some of the world renowned numeracy, literacy and scientific understandings of the British Curriculum in our teaching and learning activities.
Our Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten 1 and 2 classes along with our Grades 1 to 5, follow the IB PYP – International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.
From Grades 6 to 10 our students follow the IB MYP – International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.
In Grades 11 and 12 the majority of our students will follow the IB DP – International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Some students may choose to follow IB courses as an alternative route to Graduation. We also aim to offer the International Baccalaureate Careers Related Programme alongside the IB DP as the school expands.
We have already gained successful authorisation for our IB PYP and IB MYP Programmes and are working towards our IB DP Authorisation.
In order to ensure that learning is accessible to all of our students, including our students of determination, we have a strong inclusion team who offer expert support to all those who need it. We also provide additional support for those who may not have the required English Language skills to access all aspects of the curriculum. Our English Language Learning support programme is design to accelerate the development of proficient levels of English.
Ambassador International Academy LLC is an authorised IB PYP school and a candidate school for the MYP. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy-a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students.
